What is Phantasy Star Universe?
Phantasy Star Universe is an RPG with a futuristic setting. While it has a full-featured single player mode, the game shines in the online realm. Experience real-time action and participate in a constant player community. Phantasy Star Universe is the sequel to the award winning Phantasy Star Online series. It will be available for Windows operating systems, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system.
Experience new levels of customization with "My Room" as well as Character Creation! Lobby areas now accommodate much larger groups of players and you can now quest with up to six players in your party. Phantasy Star Universe offers a full-fledged crafting system so you can create your own items and even sell them through player-run shops. Phantasy Star Universe will completely change the way you think about the Phantasy Star series.
Because Phantasy Star Universe is a completely new game, it is incompatible with any of the previous versions of Phantasy Star Online.
The playable races in the Phantasy Star Universe world are Humans, Newmans, Casts, and Beasts. The character classes are Hunters, Rangers, and Forces.
Hunters Focus on melee combat, and wield weapons such as swords and sabers.
Rangers Proficient at long-range combat, with weapons such as handguns and rifles.
Forces Learn many different techniques to battle monsters and aid other players.
Some races are better equipped to handle a certain class, but you are free to change at any time by visiting the GUARDIANS representative on the Fifth floor of the GUARDIANS colony. The experience you earn in an individual class will always remain, so experiment with all of them to get the most out of your Phantasy Star Universe experience!
Game Masters and Support
Game Masters (GMs) work to support every area of the Phantasy Star Universe game. A GMs job is to make sure that the Phantasy Star Universe player community runs smoothly and pleasantly, by checking things both in the game and on the message boards.
Guardians will not typically join parties, and so they will not be able to help on quests.

Staff characters sometimes join up with parties at special events, and so there may be instances where you will get to play with them.

Unfortunately, they cannot trade their Partner Cards with the player community. However, there may be special events in the future where they will accept Partner Cards from other players.
GMs are not online constantly, and so there is no definite way to know for sure that a GM will be guaranteed to be online at any given time or in a particular place. If you need to get ahold of one, please use the appropriate Submission Form. GMs will review your report, and will take any steps necessary to resolve the issue upon confirmation. (Please note that GMs cannot respond to every request).
With many bugs, simply describing the problem in a text or chat medium is not enough to adequately get a handle on the issue. If you believe that you have run across a bug, please send as much information as possible through the proper Submission Form.
GMs carry out duties helping with the Official Site, maintaining the message boards, work with players' suggestions for improving the game, and carry out out-of-game support.
GMs belong to the Phantasy Star Universe management group, and so are not necessarily directly related to the game's development staff.
Sonic is Sonic, Tails is Tails, and Knuckles is Knuckles!
